ACORN-FED HAM 50% IBERICO
Our acorn-fed Iberian pigs, 50% Iberian breed, reach 18 and even 20 months of age. They outperform the Iberian pigs normally used in this category in half a year and this is what allows them to have a double montanera.
For this reason, they achieve this complete muscular and bone development, always in the pasture, running free and feeding on the extraordinary acorns of holm oaks and cork oaks.
Thus, they fatten or replace up to 70 kg in the second montanera. Our acorn-fed Iberian hams come from these pigs, 50% Iberian breed, with a minimum of 36 months of curing, always in our drying rooms and natural cellars at Hacienda Zorita Organic Farm.
Also available in boneless and sliced format
When cut, it presents an attractive cherry red color, unmistakable infiltration, veining and a characteristic shine according to its exceptional quality.
